About Claq

A take begins the moment the clapperboard snaps.

That's where the name comes from. Claq — short for claqueta, the Portuguese and Spanish word for clapperboard. The thing they snap at the start of every film take to say: this is the one. We're going for it.

That moment of intention made action is exactly what we're building for.

The gap we're closing

AI video models have handed individual creators something that used to cost studios millions. The technical capability to make cinematic content is no longer the barrier.

Writing prompts is a craft most creators shouldn't have to learn. Character consistency breaks across scenes. Every failed generation costs real money. And the gap between imagining a video and producing one that actually works is still wide enough to kill most ideas before they ever ship.

What we built

Claq is a production platform for AI video — built around a simple idea: structure what works, so creators don't have to figure it out from scratch every time.

We call it template-based prompt assembly. You describe what you want. Claq layers your character, your visual style, your shot types, and your scene intent into a complete, ready-to-generate prompt package — automatically. No manual prompt writing. No retries. No wasted credits.

The result is a scene-by-scene production package: image prompts, video prompts, and platform-optimised post copy, built to work on the first generation in whichever AI model you use.

How we think about the product

We have one rule that governs every decision: it has to work the first time.

Wasted generations are a product failure, not a user failure. If a result isn't usable, that's on us, not on you. This shapes how we build everything — from how prompts are assembled to how characters are locked across scenes.

The interface should be Apple-simple. The intelligence underneath should be Claude-level. Users should never need a tutorial. If they do, the feature is too complex and we haven't done our job.

The person behind it

Claq was founded by Arthur — a product builder, AI practitioner, and lifelong learner who spent years in enterprise technology before deciding to build something from scratch.

Born in São Paulo, based in Melbourne. The first in his family to access the kind of opportunities he now works to create for others.

The vision for Claq came from a simple frustration: the tools that existed were either locked to a single model, built for professionals, or still required manual prompt craft to get anything usable. None of them were built for the individual creator who just wants to make something great and ship it.

So he built one.
